From one parent 2 another:

To all my moms and dads out there; I have a question. What in the heck do you do with all the papers that your kids bring home from school EVERY week?

I love my daughter's preschool / daycare. She just began their 3 Pre-K program and they do a lot of great things. Every Friday baby girl comes home with a bag full of papers and different things that they did during the week. I love to go through them with her and talk about what she did but I honestly don't know what to do with all the stuff.

This is what she brought home last Friday:

These are the pictures we have 'stored' on top of the microwave:

We also have a scrapbook full of things already. At the rate that we are going I am going to have to get a storage room for all this stuff by the time she actually starts kindergarten. Some of the stuff is really cute and some of it is......well you know. I just have a real hard time discarding any of it.

What do you do with all your kid's artwork and crafts?

Honestly? I throw them away. I keep art work or their journals that come home at the end of the year, but the daily homework sheets and doodles get tossed. I don't even try to hide it any more. I just say - wow! Great job on spelling this week - anything you want to keep? Then toss the rest.
omg, I am in the same boat here. My son is in kindergarten and bringing home all kinds of stuff!!! I want to save them because this age is so precious, and I have attachment issues, so I bought a plastic bin that fits under his bed and he puts the papers in there after we look at them in awe lol
Hi ! Stumbled on your blog, AND your a SITS gal ! Okay, Im in the same boat, well my son is only 2 but he loves to colour and paint and I feel horrible throwing all his projects out. I decided to frame some of them, I also have 3 clip boards in his room to display his art (I change it every so often), AND then last Christmas I decided to use them as gift tags. Check out my post for an example :) http://talesofadomesticmama.blogspot.com/2011/12/...

I'll do same way like the other parents, I'll throw them away too. But first thing first, I'll ask them first if I'll throw it because it's their first achievements for me that need to be cherish. :) It's up to them. And honestly, I have an album full of my son's project papers. Just to show them in the future when he grow up.
My recent post חינוך
I scan everything to a directory just for his creations. If it's too big for the scanner I get out the camera and take a nice picture of him holding whatever it is.
